The opposite of an Auspicious Direction, an Inauspicious Direction (Kyouhou-i) is a zone where the cosmic energy is clashing, stagnant, or fundamentally incompatible with your star.
Moving or taking a long trip in these directions can disrupt your personal energy field, potentially leading to health issues, financial losses, accidents, or interpersonal conflicts. Major life events (like buying a house or getting married) should never be initiated in these directions.
While it is impossible to avoid moving entirely, Nine Star Ki practitioners use various 'remedies' or timing adjustments (like waiting for the energy to shift next month) to mitigate the negative effects of unavoidable travel to these zones.
