Minor Stars
(Fukusei)The supporting stars that amplify or diminish the power of the Major Stars.
The 'Minor Stars' refer to the dozens of smaller stars that populate the chart alongside the 14 Major Stars. They are broadly categorized into Auspicious Stars (lucky/helpful) and Inauspicious Stars (unlucky/harmful).
If the Major Stars are the 'main dish' of a meal, the Minor Stars are the 'spices and seasoning'. A Major Star provides the general direction, but the Minor Stars dictate exactly how that energy will manifest in reality. They determine the magnitude of success or the severity of failure.
For instance, 'Zuo Fu' and 'You Bi' are highly auspicious Minor Stars that grant immense help from noblemen. Conversely, 'Qing Yang' and 'Tuo Luo' are aggressive inauspicious stars that bring sudden obstacles or delays. When an inauspicious star pairs with a strong Major Star, it can either destroy its luck or, paradoxically, supercharge its ambition.
