Day Master

The Day Master is the absolute center of your Natal Chart. It is the Heavenly Stem located in the Day Pillar. In Four Pillars of Destiny, the Day Master represents 'YOU'—your soul, your deepest psychological nature, and your fundamental identity.
Everything else in your chart is analyzed based on its relationship to your Day Master. For example, the element that your Day Master creates is your 'Output' (creativity/children), the element that controls your Day Master is your 'Power' (career/husband), and the element your Day Master controls is your 'Wealth'.
There are 10 possible Day Masters, derived from the Yin and Yang forms of the Five Elements (e.g., Yang Wood, Yin Fire). When a fortune teller says 'You have the nature of the Ocean' or 'You are like a gentle flower', they are directly referring to your Day Master.
